Áramóataheitid er ekki alveg ad koma hjá mér.... Blogga meira ;)

Átti frábær jól, fyrst med Álfrúnu, Viktori og Degi, svo i Hjärup med fjölskyldunni. Fór svo til Berlin med Bjögga, Svanhvíti, Ebbu, Hilmari, Evu og Ástu, thad var kosy en svakalega kallt. Næst thegar ég fer til Berlin verdur um vor eda sumar. Vid bordudum margar berlinarbollur (extra mikid úrval í kringum áramótin) Krakkarnir fóru öll á laugardeginum, en ég fyrst sunnudags kvöldid. Ætladi ad gista hjá Tinu vinkonu, en ég var ekki med númerid hennar, fór og hitti Dahn vin minn um kvöldid, nádi svo loks sambandi vid Tinu og átti yndislegan sunnudag med henni og syni hennar á Prenzlauerberg, thad var bara eins og vid byggjum í sömu borginni :)

Annars er ég veik núna, í thridja skiftid í ár, tharf ad láta athuga mig!!!!

Átti afmæli en fékk tvo pakka í gær, 28 feb, thad thótti mér ædi :)

Thad var med sorg í hjarta ad ég fór heim til Køben sl mánudag, ég borgad i med dönku visa korti og afgreidslu konan spurdi mig hvernig væri ad vera íslendingur í Danmörku núna. Ég svaradi thví ad ég thekkti ekki thessa mynd sem fjölmidlar eru ad draga upp. Hvernig einni konu var hent útúr búd bara fyrir thjódernid sitt. Eftir dramatiska byrjun á vikunni, pabbi vinkonu minnar lenti í bílslysi og thad kviknad í rútunni frá leikskólanum mínum og búin ad vera veik,lýtur allt betur út núna og ég fer aftur í vinnuna á morgun :).

it was a beautiful ceremony in Nivå church last saturday, very emotional moving.
the party was great and the food suburb in Karlebo Kro, it is a honour to be abel to share that special day with your friends. During the dinner the Groom relived that they had one year wedding anniversary and only few people knew. The down side was that i was still sick so i went home before the 92 year old grandmother. But thank you all for a lovely day, i will always treasure 28 of june 2008 (and 2007)

I eve been sick since last weekend, was very proud and denied it and went to work all week, but Thursday i gave up and went home, i´ve been sleeping for most of the time and now its Friday night and my summer holiday started, but it do sent feel like that. I dont know what the weekend will bring with my first festival shift and a wedding, i just have to pray to night and sweat out all teh germs and bacteria.

Med ild ud af den lille røv og kaskader af spyt og ord ud af munden vælter det australske spøgelse, menneske og guru rundt på scenen og peger med sin frygtede pegefinger lige i fjæset på sit publikum. »I'm mr. fucking Stagger Lee«, slår han fast og sender en salve kugler af sted til advarsel. Efter to timer og tredive minutters eksplosiv vanvid foran et måbende publikum behøver han kun skyde med løst krudt: Nick Cave har mere ild bagi end nogensinde før.

Sandheden er, at Nick Cave snart fylder 51 år. Alligevel var den australske mester taget til KB Hallen i København sammen med sit seks mand høje The Bad Seeds-orkester for at slå fast, at han ikke agter pensionen og kultstatussens sødme. Så imens det romantiske klaver var blevet opmagasineret, tændte den elektriske ild fra hans, Mick Harvey og Warren Ellis' guitarer i stedet op under den udsolgte sportshal med den frygtelige lyd.

Og selvom det seneste album, 'Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!', og Grinderman-albummet havde sendt sine tydelige advarsler, var den kolossale elektriske udladning en overraskelse, der fik de ellers prøvede Cave-disciple til først at spærre øjnene op på vid gab og derefter overgive sig til vanviddet på scenen. Herfra blev Lazarus'-sangene leveret som skarpe slagterknive imellem det massive opbud af bagkatalogets yndlinge fra 'Hard on For Love' og 'The Mercy Seat' til Caves klassiske fortolkning af Johnny Cash og Bob Dylan i 'Wanted Man'.

Nick Cave har ubestrideligt genfundet en kunstnerisk gnist, han ikke har vist os siden sin legendariske bibelmesse på Roskilde Festivalen i 1990. Sammen med alderdommens galgenhumor førte det i KB Hallen til en kraftpræstation fra Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, der ikke har sin lige i den samlede rockbranche - ung som gammel. Hvad det fører til, når Cave sammen med Grinderman besøger Roskilde Festivalen til sommer, bør allerede nu føre til sødmefyldte mareridt hos disciplene.

there has been skitzo wether, it was totally spring feeling and sun last sunday and then on monday an thuesday snow storm, i will post some pictures soon. Var ad spá í ad skrifa á íslensku í thetta sinn :) Veit ad ég er ekki búin ad vera öflug ad blogga, en bara brjálad ad gera og ofaní thad er ég hálf heimilislaus thessa dagana. Vegna framkvaemda i í íbúdinni, er verid ad skipta út rörum o.m, en hey vid Björgmundur erum komin med svaka fancy klósett :)

Thad er búid ad vera brjálad ad gera í vinnunni, thar sem ég er m.a. ordin ábyrg fyrir málörvun fyrir krakkana, fer á marga spennandi fundi og er ad fara á stóra rádstefnu í mars. Svo eru líka búid ad veran mikid af skemmtilegum tónleikum en haest af bera Tegan og Sara, en er med tónlistarblogg á myspacinu mínu.

Hitti loksins vinkonur mínar úr skólanum seinustu helgi, thad var svo frábaert ad sjá thaer aftur, sáumst seinast á útskriftinni okkar. Thad aettu ad vera fleirri tímar í sólarhringnum.

Bródir minn flutti aftur til Ísland í dag, held ad muni hafa thad frábaert :)
Thessa helgi er ég í gódu atlaeti í Hjärup (their segja "jerup") og er ég strax ordin ný manneskja

i came walking with a little baby in my arms and a little boy was crying in the hallway, so i hug him and tried to make him feel better, (still holding the baby in my left arm) when the other child bit me in the right site breast, and my reflex was that the right arm went out and i hit another little boy in the middle of his forhead and i felt back and stared crying as well, so there i was alone with a little baby and two very sad boys, but then my co workers came to my rescue.

12. Den heftigste forret var rejecocktail, og den sejeste drink var campari

13. Vi kunne ikke hoppe omkring når vi hørte musik, så hakkede pladen (altså LP'en)

14. Der fandtes et specielt møbel til stereoanlægget

15. Vi meldte os ind i bogklubber, musikklubber og vi samlede på utallige kort og billeder af popstjerner, idrætshelte og dyr

16. Slettelakken var den nye revolution, der kunne rette stavefejl

17. Gamacher og stor T-shirt var en helt naturlig kombination

18. De aller flotteste plakater/billeder vi havde på væggen var af kyssende par i solnedgang, grædende klovne og galopperende enhjørninger

19. Vi gik til aerobic med g-strengstrusser udenpå gymnastikdragten og syntes det var helt naturligt

20. 'Jeg skriver en check' var en helt almindelig replik

21. Fastfood var det samme som en grillpølse med brød

22. En joggingdragt var ikke en joggingdragt med mindre du havde hvide tennis sokker uden på bukserne, benvarmere på eller rullet bukserne op til midt på læggen

2007 has been a great year, i was quite stressed because 2006 were quite hard for me and some of my loved ones, but Jelena and me agreed on that 2007 would be a new beginning.
Some wonderful kids have been born in the last year, one of them is Hekla Himinbjörg my little cousin,daughter of my brother and sister in law became parents 9 nov ´07.

I spent the 6 months in iceland doing my practise in a great school, Barnaskóli Hjallastefnunar Yngri Eining, and in Ránargrund at the Smábarnaskóli, i learned so much and got to know many great and memorable people.Iwish for them to open a kindergarden in Copenhagen. It was lovely to spent time with family and friends, but time flew by. My friend took me to Patereksfjordur and that was my first visit in the west cost, deffenetly not the last. My cousin Camilla got married to her Pontus in a beautiful ceremony. My stay ended with driving the circle around Iceland with a fellow couch surfer Jonas from Sweden. That was amazing i had never done that before.

After 2 days in Copenhagen i went to see my friend in Canada, i absolutely loved that stay, met some of J & J friends, NEMO (my favourite 4 leg creature in the whole world). Took bus to Calgary were i was staying with my family (that i never met before)and i really felt connected to them, specifically Marge and Glen, i will be back for the Dina sour Trail (Drum Battle) then to Salmon Arm were there was magic in the air with Bozenka and some more dear friends.I miss Canada.

Family reunion in Drammen in the beginning of sept ember with my parents and Atli. Many of my relatives i was meting for the first time and some other i didnt see for 10 years or more. Another great weekend.

In the beginning of desember i went to see my little Hekla and tryed to see all the new babies that have been born this year, i manged to see Jakob and Börk as well.

There have been some visitors, Malla, Sóla, Elín, Gudjón and more, come again!!!!!

Many concerts this year but some of the most memorable were Björk and Hot Chip (Evas birthday), Au Revoir Simone in Vancouver and Arcade Fire in Copenhagen, the most disappointing concerts were Beirut in Vega (he was sick and should have canselled ) and on Manu Chao there was a really crummy sound, buhu.

Have just spent Christmas's with my family in Hjärup, Sweden and will have the new years celebration in Nivå with some dear friend.

The was a theft on a trainstation in Australia, were a mother and child had a dead rabbit in the bag, because they were on the way to berrie it. So the thief ended up with a dead rabbit and the poor mother had to explain for the child what happend, she came up with, that it was the angels of god, how were going to escort the rabbit to heaven....

Somthing that makes me happy today....
That i am a fresh aunt (from the November the 9), i will fly to Iceland after 13 days, were i will hook up with all the babies that have been born since august. At least three friends have moved so i will see there new homes. I am going to a C.S. party tomorrow night with summer theme, sure that will brighten up the grey winter.

Things that i need to bitch about....
The new government, what is wrong with over half of the population in this country (that i love)woted for this right wing /liberal politicians. '

Yesterday was a big day of joy, it started early in the morning when my friend gave birth to a baby boy and then last night my sister in law gave birth to a baby girl, they are both healthy and beautiful, and i cant wait to embrase them in december when i will finally see the 2 new miracels with the same birthday. Massive amount of love and cant wait to see the proud parents with their bundel of joy.

Last monday i saw an amazing play about Frida Kahalo´s life it was on spanish with mexican slang and ingrown culture humour ( it was sepose to have a translation, but it wasent any, and i surly dont speak spanish, exept from una coppa de champagne;).
But i felt like a dork, when everybody were laughing and i didn´t get it. But i´ve got a lot out of wathcing the play, colorful costumes, lots of music and an exelent preformance of the actors. When they did this play in Mexico, it was done in the house Diego and Frida lived in real live on all three flours, and tha audience was given a piece of dooh to make a tortillia.

There was a couch surfer dinnerparty on thuesdaynight at Silases place and Hadar cooked beautiful indian food, spicy and tasty, we were 16 people from diffrent countrys that didnt know eachother from before, but it was so much fun, exept from a girl spilled redwine over me and the couch and then i spilled redwine on the flooor, so classy ;)

Last night i went to the mist amazing consert ever and ever, ever, with the unbeliveble Arcade Fire, i was blown away and i didnt want the evening to end ever. first of all very inpressive track record and a cover of a violent femmes song that i love (poor them next to me, i sang quite loud on that one. The visuel were wicked, the coolest i´ve seen exept on a Kraftwerk and Jean- Michel Jarre some years back. The band was jumping and dancing all over, the audience adored them, the only down side was the sound, but there is usually really crappy sound in K.B. Hallen here in Copenhagen. Arcade Fire is my new favoritte band.

Handed in the thesis yesterday, was printing it out at 6 o´clock in the morning, everybody at school were so reliefed, it was really nice to be abel to catch up with all my friends there. Went to a coffiehouse with my girls afterworlds, i still wasent able to eat( you how knom me well, should realice there, how stressed i was) had a ice coffie and som fruits. Bought some clothes in H&M and had an aromatic facial treatment (because i am worth it:). My skin is so soft, that i cant stop stroaking my cheak. My parents gave me a nice serprice :)

In the evening i was sepoed to go out with friends from scholl to have christmas bear. Because it was J_dag (christmas_day), by that imean chritmas bear lounge day, there is a big party in all the bars in Denmark, were people are dressed up in blue christmas clothes and so on . But Ásta came over and we played card games with Bjöggi, very chilled and realaxed night, and i sleapt for 11 or 12 hours (didnt have any sleap between thursday and friday.)

Woke up today and had recived a packet from Eva, made my day. Going out with May and some more friends tonight, M.W.B. party at Vega. To morrow bodypump followed by spinning (should cure my hangovers) and then a cosy night with Álfrún and Viktor.

It has been a beautiful but extremely cold day to day.
First of all that is going to be a election on the 13 of November, i cant vote because i am a foreigner, but i hope and pray that we get a new government, enough is enough.

In the centre of town a huge truck from Carlsberg, blocked Købmagergade from Skindergade, we waited patiencely for it to move and then when it finally did, we started to move away, but then the driver backed (and went straight for it, not giving the people behind the car change to move)so my bicycle got stuck in some hooks on the back of the car, and then made a bicyclers domino of the ones standing outside a store, in was quite shooked after this. I started to pick up all the bikes, and a girl came out of the store and helped me, she had witnessed what happen t, sweet girl, she made my day.

My main story of today is that i have a wonderful friend named Anna and she is fantastic talented, one of the amazing things she can do is knitting, and Alfrun (another great friend)brought the sweater to me from Iceland, i got it today, i have to show them to the world.

Dalma Líf, named after Dalmatians dogs and Eva Líf, she turned very old in guinnepig years, she was adopted for while (i thought for a moment that i wanted to move to Reykjavik again) were she saved a young girl for a big trauma. The possibillity that it was, Friday the 13 instead of Saturday, this cold October day. Well actually it started in Canada, when I’ve got a mail that said Manu Chao was having a concert in October, so i asked a good friend to get us tickets, and she did that darling. Well i always forget to write stuff down because i have so much faith in my memory ;)
So in my mind Manu Chao was on the 18 of Oktober instead of the 13 (maybe I got confused with the Beirut concert 18 of November)
One day when i was sitting with the computer i got a mail that National Bank (Thomas Dybdal) and Magnet were having a concert on the 13 of October, i got so exsidet and bought a ticket for me and a dear friend as his birthday pressie and i was really pleased with my self untill i talked to my friend that had our Manu Chao tickets, but it worked out anyway, then my friend that i was going to concert with had an emergency in the family so he would probably not make it. Then I found someone to come with me instead. Then it looked like my friend would make it anyway, then Magnet cancelled from the gig, because of illness in the family, so we are going to Mugison instead in November. But it ended up with that the girl going with my friend to Manu Chao instead of me couldn’t make it anyway, so I’ve got to go to Manu Chao, it was very festive concert and i deeply regret that i didn’t wear sport bra, because there was lot of dancing and jumping involved.

I have witnessed some dodgy things in the shower, some female actually brush their teeth in the shower, and then at the same time shaving the intimate area. Sometomes i close my eyes during the shower, so i can be spared with those visions.

Today i went to a spinning class, and the music was ok, and all over a good hour. But when i was going to blowdry my hair, á young girl (was using all the mirror , by standing upfront to it). She said that she was using the plug after a little while, and i said that i could use it in the meantime. And i took the plug out from the wall, before she was finished, then i said that worked out fine and smiled at her, and she totally ignored me.

There is a slite problem with my crus(lower leg)the muscel on the right leg is much wider then on the left side. What to do???????

Well again i though i was 18 again, went out 4 night in a row, Sóla and Steinthór have been casting sparkles on the Cph life. But it was a indie night, Electro, house and hip-hop and reggae music. I´ave done my first interview for my paper. I managed to demonstrate against the cut downs, next year. There were about 70.000 people on the streats of Copenhagen to show support. Agla invited my to a concert with Pétur Ben and Audur Arnalds, fantastic acts fro Iceland. It was quite chilled atmosphered, and i did my not so quiet sneezes, and had all the crowd laughing at me, and comments from the stage.

Hope this will wear off me

Eftir rigningu, kulda og rok kom frábært vedur, m.a.s. sól og thad hefur haldis áfram, ég sat úti ádan ad lesa (i skjóli), thad er ad sjálfsögdu smá rok ;)

Á föstudag var chilladur dagur med Álfrúnu og Viktori, vid bordudum gódan mat og drukkem raudvin (Viktor fékk vatn og kók ). Álfrún neitadi ad horfa á sænska idolid med mér, svo vid horfdum á dansthátt (held ég sé ordin húkt á hann líka)Vid horfdum á Alpha Dog (J.T.) og héldum okkur vakandi i gegnum alla myndina :)

Á laugardagskvöldid var matur hjá Rikke í Buddinge (sveitinni) thar sem allir tóku med einn rétt, thad var mjög kosy.

Svo kom Atli heim frá Islandi sunnudag og færdi mér skyr og möndlur, nammi namm.

Ég reyni ad byrja ad skrifa, en er búin ad lesa fullt um helgina, svo erum Atli og ég ad fara út ad borda med Möllu frænku í kvöld á huggulegan Tapas veitingarstad.

Sendi mér strauma, svo ég verdi dugleg í verkefninu.

(Eva ég er komin med nýtt lag af virdingu fyrir thig, thetta er ekkert smá erfit th.a.s. pilates).Ég er á fullu ad lesa og undirbúa mig fyrir loka ritgerdina byrja ad skrifa núna um helgina. Sisdte uge blev der forhindret et terrormål her i København, det er jo super at P.E.T. gør sit arbejde. Men jeg er så træt af den amerikaniserde udvikling i verden d.v.s. at krige, kæmpe, os imod dem osv. Det er jo mange flere facetter ex. hvorfår ikke få fat i de unge mennesker før det går så langt at de bliver hjernevasket af extremister. Dette er blevet påpeget af Manu Saren (Politiker i Det Radikale Venstre) hvor han påpeger at lærere, pædagoger og S.S.P. medarbejdere skal trænes i at kunne se fare signalerne og gøre noget forebyggende arbejde. It was quite hard to get back to reality, but it has been nice to see my classmates again. I have a presentation today and then exame on thursday, we get a subjeckt and have to write a paper and hand it in 9 a´clock friday.

I am going to Norway on saturday, to a family reunion (my parents will come from Iceland as well) Cant wait, but next week i will start to write my Ba.

We went back to Vancouver on the thursday, we got to sit next to eachother, that was great but we had a nazti driver, so when we got to Vancouver very tired and with to much stuff, Ben was so sweat to pick us up, Chinatown adventure and a consert with Au Revoir Simone and a club afterwords with Jelena, Jonas, Christa and Joe. It was amzing consert but rather boring aerobicks music at the club. My last day i went to Bowen island by my self, but all my friends went tro the naked beach, i have to go there next time. Jelena made beautiful food for us, it was a little weird, because i knew i was leaving. Friday i shoped the last presents and went to Jelenas work, i was quite strong, but as i was carring my suitcases out and saying good bye to Nemo i started to cry. In the airplane the tairs kept on floating down, in my pillow and i was a big mess, i was sitting next to Penny that had it the same way, now in Heathrow on my way to Copenhagen.

On the 18 of agust i arrived to Salmon Arm and was picked up of Brian, Jelena and Tito the gigant black lab. It was so nice to see everybody again (last time was at Jelena and Jonas wedding) Bozenka, Gogi, Daniel and Thomas, then four dogs that lived there Tito, Omi, Mahra, Eppi and the gest dog Ellios. On the sunday we had a birthday party for Gabrielle we had a lot of magic and bounding, i will post some pictures of the magical night soon. On the monday Rhome, Isabel and Claire came with presents for all, it was fantastic to see thenm again after so long time, we had many adventures down to the lake and then they all auditioned for Jelenas film, we sat in a straight line, but one end of my chair is going down so i fall off and very ellegantly i grab Jelena so we ended up in human domino, very classy. I felt so welcomed and Bozenka (they all did) treated me like part of the family. And we got so much good food. The house is so beautiful with the families artwork all over. Then on thursday (21 of agust) we left for vancouver, had a very effective 30 min at the thrift store. Bozenka and Brian drove us to the bus stop, and then out of the blue came Daniel and Gogi to make sure that we got off all right after my dramatic fall on the stairs as we were leaving the house, me and Daniel tried to prevent that Tito got out , and he pushed me over and i lost my ballance, and according to the eye witnesses i took a 180 d turn in the air and rolled into a ball, i have a new nick name now

The 15 hours journey went by pretty fast, the view over the Rockies was amazing, i have seen pictures but it just took my breath away,i wish that Greyhound had more comfortable seats, but it all was all good when i met my aunt that came and got me from the busstation. Had a lovely day lunch and Heritidge Park, simular to Arbaejarsafn, just more buisness. It was really interesting to find out about Alberta and Canadas history. We had dinner with Glen (Marges husbond) and Ingrid there daughter and her husbond Kurtis. Marge was pretty surpriced when she asked me were i wanted to go and i said Wall Mart and The Glenbow museum, we had limited time at the museum because of that little Wall Mart adventure. They had a exebtion about the natives, mavericks and much more, the Asian art was really beautiful. Ingrid og kurtis came over for dinner. On the friday did glen have the day off so we went on a field trip to Drumbattle and Dinasour Trail, but we hit a hole in the road pretty hard, so the car gave up, and when they called CBB to sen a truck to get the car and us, then their contrackt had run out the day before, but that wasen;t any problem with the friendly Canadiens. So most of the day was spendet in a car and on a corner of the highway and a little road. We had a barbeque Alberta style (cowboyland) baked potato, corn, steak and some more yummi food.Drew, Leanne, Maia, Brad, Elaine and Douglas, it was relly a joy get to know all this family members. I'llbetter try to explain how we are realated, my great grandfather Frimann had a brother named Magnus he moved to Canada and had four children Gudrun , Douglas mother, Sigfus Marge father and Ted that is Debbie father. There are much more of us but to keep it simple i only explainthe ones i met. On the saturday when i left Charlie and Melissa came with theyr 4 month old black labrador Toby for brunch. He reminded me a little of my brother Bragi. I was send with food and drink for my bus ride, but now it is only 8 hours drive, because i went to Salmon Arm. I sat next to a sweet and cleaver Eva, it is so important to have good company on your journeys,

Chilled saturday with Sushi Yama (my landmark) along with the crew Chlsea and Jonas, then we went to the happy bat videorental, they didnt have cold feaver, but we rented The Green Buthers (danish black comedy), Pink Flamengo (Diviane, and moore interesting people) then Ilsa the harem keeper of the oil sheiks(number two in the trologi of a owful woman)

Sunday was started off by a greasy brekfast, that taste so bad, but there was way to long que at the nice breakfast places, The Ben, Jelena and me hooked up with Dianne (still Jelenas sister :) and saw some of the grand masters at the Vancouver art Gallery, my favoritte is the Dali. Then it was a lot of cool contemperary art, that inwolves some cool ideas, bats and other animals there was son swign about that it wasent allowed to take pictures, so i did, was careful not to use the flash, but then a security guide told me it wasent allowed, i had to stop. Then Ben, Jelena and me took Nemo to Trout Lake, were he could swim and play with other dogs. In the night we went to Snap Gallery (my favoritte so far in Van.) Cool art, dj's, cool music and visuals, i loved this venue. They had a fondraiser for a giant metalic, rideable spider, some students buildet, and they want to transport it to Burning Man, but the spider is due to preform in New York at the David Letterman show.0

it just antother manic monday, no it was quite chilled actually. Had a late breakfast with Jelena, then off to the preeschool, it was interesting to see that children are the same all over the world, social status, race and culture, i realize that i have only tried this around my profession in three country's now. But the methods are diffrent. I had a talk about that with a Jelena, and it seeems like there are very diffrent paths around peadagogik here then home in Dk and Is. Went with Jelena and Nemo (the black lab) to visit Ben at work, they make props for tv and movies and he was making a metalick hammer that is light as an fether.
Jelena had to go to work but me and Nemo got som park acktion and a long walk.

Thuesday is gonna be a chill day, maybe a little adventure in China Town, but i leave for Calgary at 6:40 pm with my first time trip in a Greyhound Bus, i will end up in Calgary 11:15 wedensday, were my aunt is picking me up and we go straight for lunch, I am looking forward to see my realatives for the first time.

The tax is kind of strange here, they have gst and pst that is around 6% and 7%, so then when you get something from a store and it cost 20$ then i stood there ready with a 20$ note, but it will be around 23 $,the reason is that the goverment is changing it all the time, so i quess it is better to count it afterworlds, goot hing that i wasent buying my ipod there.

The smell is to much now, i've had it with this garbage strike, since ive got here, and this beautiful green city is rather dirty.

Well we all went to the laundrymat with Chelsea and at one point Jay (her husband) joined us, had lunch at a Carebeean place with a stuffed lion, that is sepose to be a real one!!!! jonas cooked us some delisious indian food, and jelena had all this meatings, first with Jessica that Jelena is making props for and then Ben that is making props for Jelenas film.

Jelena, Chelsea and me went down town to hook up with Dianne (Jelenas sister that lives in Hawai, but comes here every summer), she lives near the beach and Stanley Park, so we sat there and chatted. went to a thrift store, but both Jelena and Dianne had to work, so me and Chelsea wandret around, found some lovely shoes from kennylovespennyshoes, leggins from american apparel and some presents. Well i better slow down with the shopping, because my danish creditcard hasent arrived yet, after the bank in Akureyri took it from me, said that i had done the pin wrong 3 times, but i only did it once, he right code. Went to a bar and had 2 drinks and dinner. Later Chelsea and me went to drum and bass night at the Met, and then on to Lick (lesbean club) were we met up with some of theit friends, but the music wasent electro as promissed, but a bad r and b and hiphop (like MWB on a really bad night)

I had planed a meating with a lokal C.S girl and antother C.Ser but the meating time had been changed, so i missed out on them, but hopefully we will have a coffie on monday, then i will visit a local preeschool for two hours, there is 20 kids from the age 3-5. But i will write more about that monday.

One of the things ive noticed is the fire hibrints beeg all blue & white and red & blue, they sell toiletpaper in singel roll wraped.

There is a big consitration of homeless people, and there is a pretty crappy social system, there are some shelters and places to get food, but far from enough. Close to the main street down town there is a street with poor people, some with abuse problems, and the goverment is squiling that people away, one of the reasons is that Vancouver is hosting the Olymics 2010. So they cant have all this people runnig around there.

You are not allowed to play a game of poker in a bar, beacuse then its gambling, but at the same time the goverment sells pool-tabs at the bar.

It was a shooting in Forune and Hapiness this morning, the place is just around the corner from were i am staying. Our friend went home around 3:30 and the shooting happent at 4:30, two persons died and 4 are in the hospital.

We were sepose to go to this naked beach to day (nudity is up to one self) But it is to cold, bur we will figure something out.

Canada day 5 & 6

The dinner at the Guu was amazing, specially the tuna sashimi and the salmon with tomat salsa. There are so many japaneese resturants here, love it.

7 of agust was the first rainy day here, so i chilled with Jelena and got a raport done for school. Then i went to the Biltmore to see Chelsea at work were she was exspirimenting with diffrent drinks, later at the liqouer store Chelsea got ided, so i said that i would buy it, then the woman wanted to see my id, and i only got one and here in Canada they have to see 2 id, so we werent abel to get it our selfs, but got someone to get it for us. Then we wached a dvd with Jonas, Elsa the she wolf of the ss, not for sensitive souls. Then Jelens finally got home and we hung out together.

The sun has returned, went with Jonas to a flea market, then walked around and went to lot of nice stores, got a vintage jacked that has never been used in pink, got some other stuff as well. I found the Icelandic flag in a second hand store, so now it work as a curtain, spended way to much money (but i like it :).
I've called my aunt in Calgary to day, and are going over to see her on the 15 of agust, she invited me to stay at there house, and will gather some more family members for a party, it will be so nice to get to know them all. Then on the 18 i wil go and hook up with Jelena and Nemo (the black Labrador) close to Salmonarm and there are we meting Jelenas family.
To night Chelsea and Ben are coming over for a dinner.

Canada day 3 and 4

Jelena, Ben and me went to Gay pride parade, it was so much fun, colurful outfits to say the least. They were handing out plastic beads, but then it was always the one in front that got some, Jelena encoraged me to ask, so a girl passed us and she had like 15 or 20, but she just pressed them and sayed no, Then this women hands me one, so i ended up a happy camper. Took care of Nemo with Ben and the dog jumped on a runner. Then Vietnamese dinner with Ben and Jonas followed by cartoon sunday (family guy) Then chill with Jelena

Jelena made us a nice brekfast a felt a little bad since it is their weddingday and all. Then i went with Jelena on Commercial Drive, where she work. There a so many nice shops and resturannts there reminds me of the vibe of Soho and Vesterbro. Got an amazing present for my niece that is joining us in october or november from her tummy residence. Going out for a wedding anniversery dinner for Jelena and Jonas, with Ben. I tell you all about it

It is breathtaking here, reminds me of Reykjavik (there are montains everywhere around) but there stop the likeness. Jelena, Jonas and Ben picked me up at the airport it has been way to long since we saw each other last, but it felt like we never been a part. Then me Jonas and Chelsea took Nemo (the black labraodor of the household) for a walk and to the park. Sushi and some moore japanese food, the wild salmon was my favorittte a long with the spinat rolle. Then we had some drinks and Jelena was finishing the weddingdress for Chelsea. There was a screaming 15 year old girl outside that had got beaten up by her boyfriend and his family, so we helped her out, well i was to tired and fell asleap, but it got quite hectic with police and ambulense later on.

The wedding was sepose to start at 2 a clock, but me and Jonas were to late so the priest was on her way to another wedding, but it all worked out so Jay in his kilt and Chelsea got married, it took place in a park at the beach. Sun was shining and what a beautiful day, it was so nice to meet there friends and Chealseas family. We had Champagne and snacks and then we went to a bar named Lampshade, where it was seposed to be live old school jazz, but there were a diffrent band playing, they even played the wedding song and some other for the couple. Then it was none stop party. Jonas, Jelena and me got home to take care of Nemo, then we desided to stay home because Jonas had to work and Jelena has got the flue for a week and needed a little rest and i was jetlaged so we had some japanese food and rented Superstar, it was lovely to be abel to chill a little.

Havde glædet mig til at gå ud lørdag, havde det super hyggeligt med Eva og Helga, hvor jeg crashede en bryllupsfest (ikke med vilje, skulle hørt om kareoke ville være åpent senere om aftenen. Men jeg fik en "bryllupsgave" jeg syntes det var for pinligt at aflevere den tilbage og bruden ville nok ikke bede om den tilbage, billede her i siden)
Vi var på Kaffibarinn, så kom Svanhvit og vi gik på Cultura hvor Steinunn spillede rigtig fed musik med sin makker Silja. Derefter bar11< (som jeg kan ikke holde ud). Derefter forsvandt Svanhvit (som jeg skulle overnatte hos). Jeg havde glemt at oplade min telefon så jeg løb tør for batterier, men heldigvis minutter før, mødte jeg Kristin og Bjarni hvor jeg lånte deres sofa et par timer. Næste gang jeg overnatter hos Svanhvit skal jeg have extra nøgler. Nåh tilbage til min opgave

Var að keyra í Hafnarfirði í gær, þá kom vaggandi yfir götuna (næstum því á göngubrautinni) stór máfur(næstum því eins stór og þessi sem Mamma gerði fyrir sýninguna í Ráðhúsinu. Það var enginn bill fyrir aftan mig, þannig að ég teygði mig í myndavélina, en því miður komu bílar þá þannig að ég varð að keyra áfram. Ég geymi þetta í minningunni þá ;)

Buid ad vera ædislegur dagur, fékk ad vita ad Bumbubúi er Bumbulína (stolt födursystir) sól og sund , manni fannst vera sumar (loksins) Kvöldmatur med yndislegum Mædgum uti a svölum med kaldan bjór.Svo týndi ég lyklinum af herbergi mínu, strætó hættur ad ganga svo ég komst ekki á hinn stadinn minn, svaf med teppi og vaknadi oft, skjalfandi af kulda. Geri mer svo ferd nidur í bæ til ad sækja lykla (sem eru svo vitlaus stærd, vinkona mín sækir rétta lykla á morgun. Svo reyndi ég ad rökræda vid drukkna mannfjanska personu og the icing on the cake var ad eg tók vitlausan strætó = 30 min extra bid. (Eva var svo nice ad l´na mér ipodinn sinn, en eg gleymdi ad hlada hann, svo engin tónlist fyrir Önnuna. Núna hlýtur thessu ad vera lokid og taumlaus hamingja tekur vid.
Get ekki bedid eftir ad fa bilinn í júli. Er komin med nóg af Islandi vegna strætó, thad er svo lýjandi ferdamáti.

På Salon 39 mikses friskpressede juicer og kvalitetssprut. Frederiksberg har fået sin første cocktailbar. Den er indrettet med inspiration fra de brølende 1920'erne, og musikken spilles på vinyler.

Frederiksberg er lige lovligt konservativt. I hvert fald når det gælder om at følge tendenser, for der halter bydelen som regel et godt stykke efter København.

Det er først nu, at Frederiksberg får sin første rigtige cocktailbar, mens Magaritas, Gimlets og Mojitos falbydes fra snart sagt hvert andet hjørne i resten af København.

Bartenderen vender plader
Foregangsmændene er Thomas Raae Rasmussen og Kasper Georg Jensen, og de åbnede lørdag 9. juni cocktailbaren Salon 39 på Vodroffsvej 39 - lige bagved Sankt Jørgens Sø. Lokalerne har tidligere huset Café Aroma, men de to nye indehavere har brugt måneder på at nyindrette stedet, så Aromas tidligere gæsterne næppe vil kunne kende det igen.

Salon 39 emmer af 20'er-stemning med mørke træsorter, guld og brunlige nuancer. Udendørs er der 24 siddepladser og indendørs er der siddepladser i to niveauer og selvfølgelig også 6-8 pladser i baren, så man kan sludre med bartenderen, mens han mikser drinks eller vender plader.

De to indehavere har tidligere arbejdet som henholdsvis tjener/brygger i Hamburg og Nørrebro Bryghus og kok ved Søllerød Kro og D'Angleterre, og menuen på Salon 39 indeholder da også både en række klassiske cocktails, snacks og egentlige retter (for eksempel confiteret poussin og grillet kalvespyd til 129 kroner). Blandt de mere specielle tilbud er 'flæskesvær, rischips og oliven' som en snack til 39 kroner. Det kan man da kaldet fusion.

Fra slutningen af juni kan man også bestille brunch på Salon 29 lørdage og søndage.

Men cocktails er altså bovspyddet - og der er ikke tale om den poppede slags med pink sugerør, stjernekastere og glimmerpynt. Til gengæld er gin'en af det gode mærke Tanqueray, når man bestiller en Gin Fizz. Og appelsinjuicen presses på stedet, når man tørster efter en Screwdriver. /fra Politikken 13 juni 2007
