Lack of thinking

I am quite shocked over how people can behave, a street that i once lived in has gathered petition of the inhabitants of Njalsgata (SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE) to try to prevent a shelter for 10 homeless people. It restored my faith in humanity that some of the people refused to sign. Typical that people are so worried that the realstate price will go down. That is the same as happen t in U.S.A. when people of African origin started to move in "the middleclass era´s" maby we should move on and embrace everybody and not the selective one.

I live in Denmark were i volunteer in a coffiehouse/Shelter, we call it (VARMESTUE) and i would n´t hesitate to have 10 of the client´s in my street. These are very different individuals like everywhere else in society, after many talks do i realice more and more that the main difference between me and someone living on the streat is that i have family and friends that back me up and help me when i need it.

wHAT KIND OF A LESSON ARE WE TEACHING OUR CHILDREN?

JUST BE KIND TO THE ONE'S THERE ARE THE SAME AS YOU. dO WE WANT A SOCIETY WITH PREDGUDICE AND SOME KIND OF RACISM???????????

summer????

Since i´ve been back has it often felt like spring, sunny and lovely. But when we had the day after the first day of summer i was wearing a kraft suit, but after all i am liking it here.

I am becoming a aunt "Faster Anna Linda, in Danish" My wonderful brother and his amazing wife are having a little miracle in the end of October. I cant wait, this child will be spoil ed rotten :)

Some stuff

Here in Iceland we celabrated the first day of summer last thursday, i went with my cousins in a parade and then on a show, it was all to help the scout´s to get abroad. Then yesterday "the second day of summer" i had winterclothes on. So it dosent really feel like summer.

Next saturday there will be a parade for straight people and family people, so will the gay peolple have opertunity to wear tshirts that say "my parent´s are straight" "my best friend is straight", i am so sorry that i wont be abel to go, but everybody that has a possebility should go.

last wedensday they had a diffrent beauty contest, somewhere in the country side here in Iceland. The aim is how got the most "extra bagage" marked face etc. Taking the piss out of your typical beuty pageants.

Equal right´s

Why is women treated so different from men. I saw an interview to day with Mona Sahlin and Helle Thorning Smith, Nordic politicians. They talked about that they got asked about their clothes, family etc something their male collages get asked about. The Journalist ended with a remark about Mona and Helle both got green eyes if it was a sign about green politic´s , or something like that. Would he had asked that if he had some male politicians ????????

I have noticed that if a mother is out on the town, people look at her (like she is failing her mother part) and ask about the child, and raise one eyebrow and say "so he is baby sitting" HEY, he is not babysitting he is spending time with his child, bounding with his child.... Nothing wrong with that.

My home girls, we have been friends for a long time, but we dont see to much of each other. Well except from Saga we have just recently met her ;)

She was smiling all the time, but when the meen red light from the camera , she stoped smiling, and got a little confused, exspecialy when the flash followed.

Life works in mysteries ways, Sunday, Ive got the sad news that Hannah´s mother had passed away and Agla´s father here in Iceland. It is so unfair that our loved one´s get grabbed away from us. All my thought´s and sympathy to my dear friend´s that have lost so much.

Memories

When i was a little girl, my grandmother always had those bisqiets. So as an grownup i always buy them when i see them, even tho i dont like the flavor. But they bring back good memories.

I will miss this place during my summer here in Reykjavik (and of course Alfrun and all my friends in Cph)

Now i'm quite happy, time off from work/studies friend's from Denmark and England and a old friend is coming from Sri Lanka really soon :)

Long Friday

I felt a little freaky was standing outside the fitness center before they opened. The best thing was my dip in the "hotpot" jacuzzi, it was wonderful feeling the sun on my skin, it almost felt like summer

Now it is official

I am to old for the breakbeat night´s (here in Iceland) i havent given up hope for Cph and London, thow i really enjoyed the music and Svanhvít´s company there were to many teeny poppers jumping around. There was a young man how rasied his hand at this girl becuse she dared to yell at him for pushing her around.

I sent a packet to Canada from Denmark (in the end of january) with christmas present´s and moore. I spooke with Jelena time after time and the present never arrived. Suddenly it got sent back to me in Iceland. Now when there is easter around the corner i have decided to send her Icelandic easter chokolade egg and her birthday is coming up so birthday presant as well. I was going throw the stuff inside the packed when i descovered a envelope adressed to my friends in Roskilde with pictures. So it went from Denmark to Canada to Iceland and now back to Denmark

Christianity confirmed

Today my cousins got confirmed, it was a beautiful ceremony, and they made us proud, and i met a childhood friend and her older sister daughter is a friend of one of my cousin. A small Island as usual :)
Can’t wait for the bash later today, it is so festive to met all the family. My brother came yesterday so now we only miss our family in Sweden and France.

There are 19 years since it was my turn, and o boy, o boy,time has changed. they had a projector with all the lyrics and text, very professional all together. All i can remember that the priest Gunnar Bjornsson was very funny.
